On Friday 8th November we were very happy to welcome Richard Osgood and Harvey Mills to Aldbourne, with them they brought the finds from the dig in May. These have now been cleaned and logged at Devizes. John our curator now has the pleasant job of working out which to put on display next year. There is some fascinating stuff there so do please make time to visit next year and see what was found.
Richard Also confirmed that the dig will feature in the BBC program Digging for Britain – some time before Christmas
I watched the programme with much interest and look forward to visiting Aldbourne again in March .
I will definitely be visiting the heritage centre to view the Band of Brother’s findings.
