As we locate and transcribe documents which provide original sources for information on the history of Aldbourne, we will add them here. Each entry will provide an article about the document iteslf, a summary of what it tells us about the village’s history and a link to a further page or pages with the full transcription of the document – or, in the case of documents written in Latin, a translation.

With the permission of the archive holding the original document (mostly The National Archives, Kew and the Wiltshire & Swindon History Centre in Chippenham) we will also show a representative image of the original.
