In the Name of God Amen . I Jacob Baker of Snapp in the County of Wilts Yeoman do make publish and declare this to be my Last Will and Testament in manner following (that is to say) First my will and desire is that all my just Debts Funeral and Testamentary Charges and Expenses be duly paid and satisfied I give and bequeath unto my grandchildren Two Pounds each to buy such Cloathes as they their parents may think proper Also I give devise and bequeath unto my Friends John Brown of Snapp aforesaid and Robert Church of Lodge Farm in the said County Gentlemen All of my Freehold and Personal Estate and Effects whatsoever and wheresoever and of what nature or kind soever the same may be To Hold to them their Heirs Executors Administrators and Assigns To for and upon the Trusts Ends Interests and purposes hereinafter mentioned (that is to say) Upon Trust that they my said Trustees or the Survivor of them his Heirs Executors or Administrators do and shall at the expiration of twelve months next after my Decease sell and dispose of my said real and personal Estate either by Public Auction or Private Contract as they shall deem proper and the Monies arising therefrom do and shall pay and divide between and amongst my dear Wife and Children John Baker and Ann Harris share and share alike. But it is my Will and desire that the Business I am now engaged in be carried on by my said Wife and Trustees for the benefit for the Term of one Year next after my Decease, from the Profits whereof I direct my said Wife to pay the Rent then to be[c]ome due for the Year and the Yearly Outgoings And I do nominate and appoint the said John Brown and Robert Church joint Executors in Trust of this my Will and do revoke and make void all former Wills by me heretofore made In Witness whereof I have hereunto set my Hand and Seal the twenty ninth day of December in the Year of our Lord One thousand eight hundred and eighteen.

Signed sealed published and declared by the above named Jacob Baker as and for his last Will and Testament in the presence of us who at his request and in his presence and in the presence of each other have subscribed our names as witnesses thereto

THE WILL of Jacob Baker Deceased
THIS WILL was proved at Marlboro’ on the 20th Day of July 1819 before the Revd & Worshipful Wm Coxe Clk M:A: Archdeacon of the Archdeaconry of Wilts And by him Administration of all and singular the Goods and Chattels of the said Deceased, and aby ways concerning h is Will was committed to John Brown and Robt Church the joint Ex[ecut]ors within named (being first duly sworn of the Truth of the said Will, and faithfully to perform the same, and to pay the Deceased’s Debts and Legacies as far forth as his Goods and Chattels will thereto extend and the Law bind him, and to exhibit a true and perfect Inventory of the Goods, Chattels and Credits of the Deceased, and uyield a just and true Accompt when lawfully required) saving the Rights of all Persons.
