Commander, HMS Niger, Royal Navy died 6 July 1942 aged 46

Son of Arthur and Helen, left a wife Arminta. The newspaper report of his death gives his address as Yew Tree House, Oldbourne, Wilts. HMS Niger, a Halcyon class minesweeper, was sunk after hitting a mine while escorting a Murmansk convoy QP 13.
