|Born 9 May 1887. In 1901 he was living at Pudley Wharf. Had joined up before the war, in 1911 he was with the army in South Africa. His former occupation was listed as school teacher
|He had only left England on 13 August. This was when the BEF was desperately trying to halt the German advance. He died in action.
